Forest of Knowledge, 2009 - 2011

...is not a single tree in a walled garden; neither is it the narrow and petty morality of a regional deity. The Forest of Knowledge is rather a boundless, deathless epicenter of Nature, a place where Nature, in her role as the mother of all cathedrals, rules the conscience. This ongoing cycle is inspired by, and built upon the foundation of lines by Emerson, from his 1844 essay, Nature, “here is sanctity which shames our religions and reality which discredits our heroes.” He goes on the say, “Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.” ---J.W.F.
